Title: Development and Application of DSTO’s Air Operation Simulation Centre
نویسنده
چکیده
The Air Operations Simulation Centre (AOSC) is part of Air Operations Division (AOD) of the DSTO Aeronautical and Maritime Research Laboratory (AMRL), situated at Fishermens Bend in Melbourne. The centre consists of high fidelity visual displays, computer systems driving advanced image generators and various simulation cockpits of Australian Defence Force (ADF) fixed and rotary wing aircraft. The simulator is designed as a research tool to support air operations and acquisitions of weapon and avionics systems. This paper describes the various parts which make up the AOSC and discusses several projects that have recently been undertaken within the facility.

An Application of DSTO’s BattleModel using Agents and Humans-in-the Loop
In this paper a description is given of an application of DSTO’s BattleModel [1] using agents and humansin-the-loop. This application is being developed in response to requirements from the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). In preparation for upgrades to the avionics, electronics and sensors of the P-3C Orion fleet, the RAAF is developing new operational procedures and tactics. To assist in th...

In this research paper, the performance of an air-cored axial flux permanent magnet synchronous generator is evaluated for low speed, direct drive applications using 3D finite element modeling and experimental tests. The structure of the considered machine consists of double rotor and coreless stator, which results in the absence of core losses, reduction of stator weight and elimination of cog...
متن کاملDesign and operation optimization of an air conditioning system through simulation: an hour-by-hour simulation study
In the present research, performance validation of a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system operating in a library building was conducted. The operating HVAC system was studied in terms of the provided indoor air conditions and energy consumption level. The fieldwork measurements showed that the HVAC system is not capable of providing the desired indoor air conditions based on...
متن کاملApplication of the multi-laminate sub-loading surface model in the simulation of a pipe-jacking operation
In this paper a constitutive model formulated in the framework of multi-laminate models is applied to analyze pipe-jacking processes. The multi-laminate -based models consider various integration planes to formulate the stress-strain relationship. This basic feature of the framework has the advantage that yield criteria, flow and hardening rules are formulated on planes rather than in three-dim...
